The breakfast was good and was served by a very friendly lady. The coffee was particularly good and there was a range of teas including English Breakfast tea. The view was not bad and there is a beach just across the road but we didn't try this out as we were there to see the castle which is spectacular.

Ideal for a young family with on-road parking outside the hotel. Monemvasia is beautiful, with great accomodation, but it would be too difficult with a baby to get to and from the old town.
The staff at the hotel were really helpful, especially as we had a four month old baby with us.

The accommodation is new and located near the beach. The private parking was convenient. The host, Yiotha, was very friendly and helpful. We arrived very late (~11pm), and they waited for us and gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival, and assisted us to carry our luggage up the stair to the room. Our room was of good size, clean, tidy, modern, quiet and well-facilitated. The bed was very comfortable. The swimming pool was nice. The breakfast was excellent, including omelette, fried eggs, a good serve of cakes, pies, pastries, breads, yogurt, fruit bowl, juice and coffee. We are very satisfied with this accommodation.

The Medieval fortress of Monemvasia is truly amazing with it’s cobbled streets and alley ways. The fortress and church at the top are a must see but the walk uphill is difficult. It needs to be noted that like all of Greece this place has a lot of ups and downs so you need to have fairly good mobility. But the hmm and authentic architecture is a must see.Much has been restored to it’s original structures. The vistas of the sea is awesome.

An amazing place, very pretty.
An amazing place, very pretty. Worth climbing up the steps, but not for the feint hearted, and wear trainers. I would imagine it gets very busy so would recommend going early. And worth getting the shuttle bus, it’s further than you think.

Monemvasia is a magical place, beautiful and awe inspiring.
Monemvasia is a magical place, beautiful and awe inspiring. As long as you are reasonably fit and mobile there is a lot to explore. A few shops and tavernas, bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from. History oozes from every stone. I did not like to see the horses laden with stone carrying to and from the building works, slipping on the steep cobbled streets. There are workers with trolleys and wheel Barrows to carry your luggage if you want but nowhere is that far away, pack very light though. Parking is restricted so drop off your stuff at the gate and go away to park, or get a bus from the town on the mainland. It's not the easiest plave to access but it is worth it.

Monemvasia needs at least 4 days to be fully appreciated.
Monemvasia needs at least 4 days to be fully appreciated. The hiking trails around the castle and Kalives are often ignored in favor of the castle, which is a crime. The castle is obviously the big attraction here and it's worth it alone. I would suggest staying in Gefira and walking up the castle if you are physically able instead of driving. Skorpios (in Gefira) and Matoula (in the castle) were my favorite places to eat at. By no means should you neglect to try the local wines, especially Malvasia.

It was cool to realize you were staying in something that existed 500 years before you were born, before planes, trains and automobiles... Accomodation was basic, but clean and comfortable. Staying here is about the experience, not the amenities. We really enjoyed our visit. I loved exploring the ruins of the upper town at sunrise. It is a very cool experience.

Unique experience to stay on The Rock!
Unique experience to stay on The Rock! Hike to the upper ruins is a must do, we should have done it upon arrival but waited til the morning of our departure. I would have preferred sleeping in, longer time at wonderful breakfast buffet, and relaxing on our balcony before leaving …. there’s always next time.
Idyllic place to relax. Intimate and clean space with a beautiful view of the sea. Ideal for relaxation. A few minutes by car you are at the castle of Monemvasia after the tour, the evening in the castle is full of life, perfect for enjoying cocktails or food. What I liked the most was that Neapolis, Elafonisos, Gytheio and Sparti are nearby destinations, so I combined many activities together. I highly recommend it and we will definitely choose it again. Thank you!
Our stay at this hotel was exceptional. When my husband sprained his ankle, the staff's quick response and assistance were incredible. They called the local hospital, ensuring he received prompt care.
Apart from the outstanding service, our overall experience was delightful, with warm welcomes, comfortable rooms, and delicious breakfast.
I Highly recommend Malvasia Hotel in Monemvasia Castle
The position of the hotel is great as it is located just before the bridge that leads to Monemvasia, so reaching it by foot doesn't take long. The hotel staff gave us a very spacious room with two balconies and sea view. The room was beautiful and very clean. The parking, if you travel by car, is just behind the hotel. There are also plenty of café and restaurants near by.
Staying in Monemvasia a magical castle town is amazing experience. The hotel room at Guesthouse Kellia is nice even though it could be renovated a bit. The whole town and hotel have magical atmosphere. The breakfast was good, but the best part on it was where it is served in the courtyard under the trees with the amazing sea view.
Very comforting house with an incredibly unique feel. Had all the necessary amenities. Had concerns about the bathroom based on previous reviews but it must have been remodeled because it was perfectly fine for us. A very nice location in the castle. Host was communicative and check-in was seamless. Highly recommend
Incredible hotel and town ! We really enjoyed our stay , felt very welcomed at the hotel , comfortable and amazed by Monemvasia. You need to leave your car at the entry of the town, and everything makes you feel you are centuries back in time!
Resort was beautiful, loved the view from the pool as well as our room! Great service and the pool was a God-send after a day of hiking to the top of Monemvasia. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. Would be happy to return. 😊
Probably the best hotel in Monemvasia. Clean room, excellent breakfast, epic balcony, very good organised measures against Covid 19... The best position in the castle, professional, polite and kind stuff... Full recommendation!
we loved the old world feel.
room was spacious and charming.
a different experience to be within the castle walls. the views from the room and area were lovely. great breeze. breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean, bigger than usual hotel rooms. View was also great, right on the rock Monemvasia. Breakfast was tasty. We enjoyed our stay at the Panorama very much.
If you expect 5 star hotel that is not it, but if you want to spend time in medieval house, in 1400 + years castle city with the great view on the see and protective wall go for it. The vibe is definitely there.
This hotel is excellent location to explore Monemvasia area . Clean , modern rooms and very lovely staff running the hotel , very helpful with information and also lovely breakfast.
The location within the castle walls, overlooking the sea is absolutely great. The traditional stone decor of the former monastery also makes for a very unique stay.
